From past guests

In their words.

These guests joined earlier retreats with Ira. They are speaking about her teaching, not one particular retreat.

Ira’s retreat was the perfect way for my husband and I to detox and to spend some quality time together. As entrepreneurs and founders of businesses, both my husband and I have busy schedules. It is difficult to incorporate times for health and also for each other, so Ira’s yoga retreat really was the perfect combination of both.

Questions

Before you call.

Anything not answered here, Ira’s team will cover on the phone.

Which retreat should I choose?

Govardhan is a weekend near Mumbai: the shortest trip and the lowest price. Bhutan is five nights in the Paro Valley with airport transfers included. Kerala is four nights on the backwaters, over New Year. Still unsure? Pick “Not sure yet” in the form and Ira’s team will talk it through.

Do I need yoga experience?

There are two classes a day. The morning asana class asks for some experience. The evening restorative Yin class is open to all levels.

What does a day look like?

On past retreats: kriyas and a yoga class in the morning, then brunch. The middle of the day is free for excursions, massages or rest. Yin yoga in the late afternoon, dinner, then an evening session of sound healing, kirtan or a dharma talk. A detailed itinerary is sent once you book.

Are flights included?

No. Travel to each retreat is yours to arrange. Bhutan includes transfers between Paro airport and the cottages. For Kerala, the team puts guests in touch to share taxis from Trivandrum.

Can I share a room?

Yes. Sharing prices are per person: ₹65,000 for Bhutan and Kerala, ₹20,000 for Govardhan. Come with a friend or partner.

What are the payment terms?

For Bhutan, a 50% deposit holds your cottage. For Govardhan and Kerala, full payment is due two weeks before the retreat. No refunds within two weeks of any retreat; tell the team earlier and 50% moves to another retreat within 12 months.

Who receives the payment?

Namami Yoga, a registered charitable trust founded by Ira. Payments are treated as donations, and a certificate is issued after the retreat.
